COLCHESTER United will travel to play Maldon and Tiptree in their first pre-season friendly of the summer.
Danny Cowley will take his U's squad to Park Drive to take on the Jammers on Saturday July 13, kick-off 3pm.
Colchester will face a Maldon side who are now managed by U's transitional coach Dave Huzzey, who has just taken charge at the Pitching In Isthmian League division north side.

The U's have also announced that they will send an XI to to play Aveley on Saturday July 27.
Further pre-season fixtures will be announced by the club, in due course.
Colchester's first-team squad are currently enjoying an off-season break, where they adhering to their individual programmes.
The U's players will then return for duty on July 1 in readiness for the League Two season, which gets underway on August 10.
