Trilogy Colchester hosting Route vs Hippodrome over 30s event

Clubbers will be able to relive their youth as the Trilogy nightclub pays tribute to two former hotspots.

The nightclub in the High Street will play host to an “over 30s day club” on June 29 – and the theme is “Route vs the Hippodrome”.

The event, which will run between 4pm and 10pm, will feature resident DJs from the former Route nightclub in Queen Street and the Hippodrome, which once sat in Trilogy’s place.

Manager James McKeown said: “I started my career at Route and now am fortunate to carry the torch at the old Hippodrome so it seemed a very fitting way to kick off our series of over 30s day parties.”

More than 100 tickets were snatched up within 12 hours of them going on sale.

“It’s really good to see there’s a lot of love for the old venues,” James added.

The nightclub is also hosting social media influencer Beavo, real name Brandon Beavis, from Canvey, who is hosting a meet and greet at the venue on June 15.
