COLCHESTER United have announced that they will host Cambridge United in a pre-season friendly, on August 3.
Danny Cowley's side will face the League One side at the JobServe Community Stadium, as part of their preparations for the forthcoming 2024-25 season.
The game will kick off at 3pm.
Colchester will begin their pre-season fixture programme with a trip to play Maldon and Tiptree on Saturday July 13, kick-off 3pm.

Colchester will face a Jammers side who are now managed by U's transitional coach Dave Huzzey, who has just taken charge at the Pitching In Isthmian League division north side.
The U's will also send an XI to to play Aveley on Saturday, July 27.
Further pre-season fixtures will be announced by the club, in due course.
Colchester's first-team squad are currently enjoying an off-season break, where they adhering to their individual programmes.
The U's players will then return for duty on July 1 in readiness for the League Two season, which gets underway on August 10.
