Fevrier has revealed a chat with Stockport boss Dave Challinor played its part in him joining the club.

"County is a big club and playing against them last season, I was really wowed by the fans and the way the team was playing, so I'm really excited to join and be a part of the project here.

"After having a chat with the manager, Dave Challinor, the way me and him spoke, the ideas he has for me around my game, I think it really interested me and ultimately, drew me onto coming here.

"I think I'm still young in my career but I felt it was the right time for me to settle down at a club that has a really good project and is going to build, in the future."

Fevrier has linked up with his former Colchester and West Ham team-mate Jay Mingi, at Stockport.

Mingi also left the U's to join the Hatters, last month.

Fevrier added: "I've known Jay since I was about seven or eight years old.

"He's always been like a big brother to me; at West Ham, I used to play a lot up with his age group and at Colchester, we spent a lot of time together so I think him being here is really important for me to have a friend.

"I don't know anyone else in the team, so to have someone here that I know who's a great player that can influence the team with me I think is really good for the club.

"We discussed it and we said it would be nice for both of us to play together again.

"It was just about weighing up the right options for both of us and our families and ultimately, we landed in the same place."
