A MAN in his 40s has died following a serious collision between a motorcycle and a car on a busy road in Great Oakley.
Emergency services attended Harwich Road yesterday afternoon, after a crash occurred on the road, near Great Oakley.
Essex Police officers arrived at the scene at around 12.45pm, yesterday, June 6.
An air ambulance, two ambulances and an ambulance officer vehicle attended the scene.
Due the severity of the incident, the road was closed-off and the public were urged to avoid the area.
Sadly, the motorcyclist, a man aged in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The force is now looking for any witnesses to step forward to help the investigation.
An Essex Police spokesman said: “His family have been informed and are being supported while our investigation continues.

The road was reopened yesterday evening by 6.30pm.
