THE much-loved Coggeshall Summer Festival enjoyed a successful return for its third year as hundreds enjoyed the event.

Family and friends enjoyed the various stalls, entertainment and the huge stage.

Katye said: "This is our third year running this fantastic local event, and it has been our busiest yet.

"Coggeshall is really unique in that our sense of community is super strong, and it’s so brilliant to see everyone join together to celebrate that on the day as attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, entertainers and volunteers.

"There are only five members on the committee, and so to see it all come together and everyone having such a great time is really quite humbling."

The festival is held to put Coggeshall's name back on the map and to showcase the amazing local businesses.

Katye added: "Our reasons for throwing our heart and soul into this event is not only to bring people together, but to put Coggeshall on the map again when footfall is dwindling, to showcase our fabulous local businesses, charities and community groups, and to just have a fun time doing so.

"Our attendees definitely brought the festival vibe with them this year, and it was great to see so many people letting their hair down covered in glitter."

Grants, sponsorship and revenue from the organiser's beer tent all help to fund the day.

Katye said: "As you can imagine, the festival costs a considerable amount to run, and we fund this through local and national grants, sponsorship and revenue from our volunteer-run beer tent on the day; as well as members of our community offering their professional services for free, which we are so grateful for.

"We’d like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to everyone who was involved and who came along on the day.

"We plan to keep Coggeshall Summer Festival going, and will definitely be back in 2025."
