COLCHESTER-BORN all-rounder Ben Allison has joined Worcestershire on loan from Essex for the next two Vitality County Championship fixtures.
The former Colchester and East Essex player was previously loaned to the Pears in the final weeks of the 2023 County Championship.
The 24-year-old will now rejoin the New Road outfit for a home clash with Surrey and a visit to Durham.
Allison, who has appeared in four Vitality Blast matches for Essex this season, remains available for selection for Essex's upcoming shortest-format fixtures against Hampshire Hawks and Kent Spitfires, before his loan begins.

Go well, Benny! 🤝
Essex head coach Anthony McGrath said: “This is an excellent opportunity for Ben to get game time while not compromising on the quality of cricket he will play.
“He is still developing as a cricketer, and the most important thing for him now is simply to be playing; as such, this is a great chance for him and we look forward to seeing how he gets on.”
Allison progressed through the youth ranks at Colchester and East Essex Cricket Club before joining the Essex Academy, in 2017.
At the end of 2022, he signed a contract extension to keep him at Essex until at least the end of the 2024 season.
