MOTORISTS are experiencing more delays on the A12 after it was partially closed this morning due to a crash.

Traffic Control has confirmed that a section of the A12 Northbound is partially blocked from junction 25 A120 to the Junction 26 Essex Yeomanry Way due to an incident at the roadworks.

Although Traffic Control reported it at 1.31pm today, June 27, drivers are still experiencing heavy delays in the area.

Slow traffic goes back to junction 24 Kelvedon as a result.

National Highways confirmed this morning that the A12 Southbound between Junction 29 and Junction 27 near Colchester Jobserve Community Stadium was closed due to a “multi vehicle collision”.

Emergency services attended the scene and the East of England Ambulance Service confirmed three people were taken to Colchester General Hospital for further care.

The road was reopened at 12 noon.

A spokesman for Essex Police has confirmed there was a single vehicle collision where a car went into "barriers", after the force was called to the scene at 2.15pm.

No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made.
