THE A12 is a crucial lifeline for many travelling motorists in and around North and mid Essex.
It’s used night and day by drivers and serves as a key route to reach many different places within the county.
It’s so well used that a multimillion-pound road surfacing scheme is still underway between junction 25 and junction 26, which started in October 2022.
There’s also a big £1.2billion plan to widen lanes of the A12 between Colchester and Chelmsford by building two major bypasses at Rivenhall End and between the Kelvedon north and Marks Tey turnings.
So, with the A12 always being used, here’s a rundown of all the expected closures you can expect according to National Highways throughout July in effort to make your journey easier.
All the closures are due to works.
