VISITORS to a farm near Colchester can spend some time with adorable micro piglets during the summer.
Alpaca Acres in Great Tey, has a huge variety of animals on site.
The farm offers experiences with alpacas and cria, donkeys, babydoll sheep, various goats, guinea pigs, chickens, and ducklings.
As well as this, the farm is also offering experiences with its micro piglets.
The farm allows one family or individual group on the farm during an hour session, allowing guests to uniquely and exclusively relax and enjoy the animals.
Feed can be bought for all these animals on the farm during the animal experience.
Guests’ personal experiences will begin with a short tour of all the friendly farm animals in their private petting paddock.
After a short health and safety briefing, visitors will be allowed access to the micro pigs’ ‘Piggy Paradise’ paddock for up to 15 minutes, where they can give more confident piglets a brush and a tummy tickle.
The farm warns the piglets love to nibble on shoes and trouser legs, and are enjoy untying shoe laces, so guests should dress appropriately and be prepared to shoo the piglets away.
Guests can then spend further close up time with the other animals.
An hour session is £35 for a family or group up to six people, with additional costs for groups of eight.
Sessions run from July 25 to September 3, and can be viewed on the Alpaca Acres Facebook page.
