TWO long-standing staff members with decades of service each are celebrating major milestones at a Halstead business.

Wardale Williams Opticians in Halstead is celebrating receptionists Patricia Osmond and Carol Turgoose who have reached their 35 and 40-year anniversaries respectively.

The business was first established in 1947, with both Carol and Pat becoming well-known amongst their patients and providing a caring, familiar face for those visiting the practice.

In recognition of their long-standing commitment, fellow team members at Wardale Williams have held a celebration event, marking each of the pair’s many years of service.

The celebrations included cake and refreshments, as well as sharing old photos of the two during their time in practice and presenting both Carol and Pat with their long service awards.

Kayleigh Wright, practice manager at Wardale Williams, said: “Carol and Pat have become an iconic part of our practice over the years.

“They provide outstanding aftercare to our patients and always bring a smile to our patients’ faces with their bright and colourful personalities.

“The entire team feel incredibly honoured to be able to work alongside both Carol and Pat and learn from their valuable experience and knowledge. They are absolutely the heart and soul of the practice.”

As locals to the Halstead area, Carol and Pat have given back to their local community over the years as part of the Wardale Williams team.

Kayleigh added: “Pat and Carol perfectly demonstrate exactly what makes our practice special.

“It’s an independent touch that is provided by them in every interaction with our patients and ensures that they leave feeling confident and well cared for.”
