TEMPERATURES are set to soar in Colchester and the surrounding areas, with forecasts predicting almost 30C this weekend.
With a lack of sunny weather so far this year, with what feels like continuous rain, Friday and Saturday are set to reach at least 28C in Colchester and across Essex.
In Colchester, on Friday, the weather is predicted to hit 29C during the daytime and 17C at night.
On Saturday the good weather is set to continue with temperatures set to hit 28C in the day and 16C at night.
As Sunday arrives, the weather will cool slightly with highs of 23C in the day and 14C at night.
Elsewhere in Essex, Manningtree is also due to experience 29C in the day on Friday, with Clacton set to experience highs of 27C.
