A ROAD in Colchester is set to close for more than three weeks.

St Johns Close will be temporarily closed from its junction with St Johns Road to its junction with Evergreen Drive while carriageway reconstruction and resurfacing works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

The closure and temporary restrictions will commence on August 12 for 26 days.

Elsewhere, various roads in north and mid Essex are also set to shut in the coming weeks.

Garden Road, Jaywick, will be closed for three days from August 21 from its junction with Jasmine Way to its junction with Broadway while footway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Sandown Close, Clacton, will be closed for three days from August 19 from its junction with Gorse Lane to its junction with Lymington Avenue, while footway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Pork Lane, Great Holland/Thorpe-le-Stoken will be closed from the junction with Thorpe Road to the junction with Kirby Road, a distance of 2,395m.

The closure is scheduled to commence on August 5 for five days while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Queensway, Holland-on-Sea, will be closed for 50m from its junction with Madeira Road for three days from August 5, while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

The Avenue, Rosabelle Avenue, and Harvey Road, Wivenhoe, will be closed from August 19 for 43 days while Cadent completes gas main replacement works in three phases. There are alternative routes available during each phase.

Coach Road, Great Horkesley, will be closed for 50m from August 7 for three days while pipe repair works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

Lodge Lane, Ardleigh, will be closed from its junction with Wick Lane to its junction with Crown Lane North from August 5 for three days, while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Coggeshall Road, Feering, will be closed for 240m for two nights, 8pm to 5am, from August 21 while drainage investigation works are undertaken by A1 Traffic Safety.

Dunmow Road, Great Bardfield, will be closed from its junction with Bell Lane for 6 days from August 22, while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

High Street, Great Bardfield, will be closed from its junction with Dunmow Road to its junction with Brook Street for six days from August 23 while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

St Michaels Lane, Braintree, will be closed from its junction with St Michaels Road for 15m for five days from August 19, while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

Michaelstowe Drive, Ramsey, will be closed from its junction with Ramsey Road from August 19 for five days, while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

Bennetts Road, Little Maplestead, will be closed from its junction with Oak Road to its junction with Dynes Hall Road from August 8 for five days, while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Colne Park Road, Colne Engaine, will be closed for 545m from its junction with Mill Lane for five days from August 5, while drainage works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Mill Road, Maldon, will be closed from its junction with Wantz Road to its junction with Park Drive, and from its junction with Church Street to its junction with Park Drive.

This is from August 5 for 63 days, while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.
