A BRAINTREE spiritualist medium and clairvoyant has had huge success with his second book as it has reached number one best seller on Amazon overnight.
Ronnie Buckingham, 70, has had an extensive 30-year-long career, giving spiritual readings and shows – supporting those struggling with life and bereavement.
Following a period of personal struggles, Ronnie first discovered his spiritual gift at 40 when he went for a reading looking for personal guidance.
“I went to see a lady called Lynn, and she told me I was a natural-born medium,” he said.
With the help of mediums Lynn Belcher and Anne Walmsley, Ronnie quickly became successful and has spent his career travelling the world - visiting countries like Cyprus and Gibraltar, and appearing on television shows like Big Brother and Inside Out - to give readings and shows for different communities.
After his first book, Medium Rare, went to number one best seller in its category on Amazon, in 2016, Ronnie has repeated history with his second book, Medium Rare to Well Done, earning the same title overnight.
Ronnie’s new book, released last month, consists of 50 true stories from Ronnie’s readings, accompanied by photographs, as well as information on him and his impressive career.
The book has received great reviews, resulting in a 4.9-star rating.
Now, at 70, Ronnie does a lot of work in the community and has been the guest of honour at the Danaher Animal Home in Wethersfield for many years – often auctioning readings at their events, with all proceeds going to them.
Ronnie has connected with many people in the community, helping them through bereavement.
He said: "I’ve got a gift and I want to be able to give back, that’s what it’s all about,
“I’ve had a star named after me, I’m a godfather for a couple that lost their son.
“It just blows you away – it’s an unbelievable feeling.
Ronnie also gives weekly shows in Essex, Suffolk, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire, and will be at Colchester Rugby Club on August 10.
“I love what I do – it’s that feeling of changing somebody’s life," he said.
“I’m giving them that reassurance that they haven’t lost someone, they’re just in another room."
