A NEW fast food restaurant which has come to Halstead has received a "really good response" after its opening, bosses have said.

HFC has opened at the top of Halstead High Street, selling a range of fast food like burgers, kebabs and fried chicken.

It is also offering takeaway service via JustEat.

HFC is keen to bring "something different" to Halstead with specially made dishes, like their kebab, which is cooked with onion paper and served in freshly made naan bread, and their Peri Peri chicken.

A spokesman said: “There’s lots of good food options in Halstead so we’re trying to do something different.

“We’ve gotten a really good response from customers without advertising,

“We really appreciate the customers supporting and encouraging us."

A statement on the site's social media page also highlighted the positive start since opening the business and responded to some "issues" a "few customers" faced on Friday, July 19.

It reads: "I am over the moon with the support you have shown us. Thank you all so much.

"As you know, we are a new establishment and are working hard to settle in and provide our staff with high-standard training.

"I have noticed that a few of our lovely customers experienced issues with our chicken. First of all, I would like to sincerely apologize for this. I assure you that we always take great care to ensure the quality and safety of our food. Each dish undergoes a rigorous temperature check by two staff members before being served.

"Last Friday was particularly busy, and our chicken was served directly from the machine after confirming that the temperature was above the required level.

"Despite these precautions, some of you felt the chicken was undercooked.

"Occasionally, veins or other natural parts of the chicken can make the meat appear undercooked even when it is fully cooked and safe to eat.

"We deeply regret any discomfort or inconvenience this may have caused. Your satisfaction is our top priority, and we are committed to learning from this experience to ensure it does not happen again."
