A HIGHLY anticipated music festival featuring six well-known 80s acts is set to take place in Colchester this Saturday and a new guide to the event has been published.
The 80s Calling Festival is taking place in Lower Castle Park on Saturday and a fan guide has now been released by the organisers of the concert, LHG Events.
Many fantastic acts are part of the festival bill, including The Human League, Bananarama, Level 42, The Farm, Hue and Cry, and The Christians.
The guide includes band set timings with the box office opening at 11am, travel tips, a map of the site, accessibility details, and all the information you could need ahead of the festival.
Gates will officially open at 1pm for the standing event and there are two entrances available.
You can enter by the south entrance near the Middle Mill and the north entrance by Leisure World.
The Christians will be the first act to perform at 2pm, followed by Hue and Cry at 3.20pm, The Farm at 4.50pm, Level 42 at 6.30pm, Bananarama at 8pm, and The Human League at 9.30pm
All tickets must be downloaded to your phone or printed out and shown at the gates when entering the sit.
Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
It is advised that bags are not brought to the festival.
You will not be able to bring food and drink in to the festival unless a doctor’s note can be provided for medical reasons.
Cups of water will be available at the bar for free of charge.
