A HOME in Colchester’s city centre has been sold after it was put up for auction.
The terraced home in Cedars Road was among 165 lots in the latest auction held by Clive Emson Auctioneers on July 24.
According to the auctioneers, the property, offered jointly with Boydens, attracted strong pre-sale interest before being sold for £143,000.
Regional Director & Auctioneer Paul Bridgeman said: “We considered that this house would make an excellent bolthole within close proximity of the city centre – and our buyer agreed.
“The property – which needs some improvement, has a gas heating system via radiators and a yard to the rear of the property – will make an excellent home once works have been carried out.
“This is another prime example of how the team at Clive Emson Auctioneers does not stop working for vendors once the sale has finished. We continued to negotiate a sale on this property and have emerged with an excellent result for both seller and purchaser.”
Auctions at Clive Emson are held eight times a year with properties across the country.
