Drivers are being warned to expect delays on major routes this week as abnormal loads are escorted through Essex and Suffolk.
Suffolk Police will be escorting 44 tonne cabins to Sizewell B in multiple convoys from Tuesday until Friday.
In total there will be 10 abnormal loads, which are 12 metres long and 3 metres wide, travelling through the county from Essex.
Each day there will be a convoy at 11.30am and 1pm with a third convoy at 2.30pm on Tuesday and Thursday.
It is the first of many abnormal loads to be moved through the county in upcoming weeks, with similar convoys expected to be escorted throughout next week.
Major routes including the A12 and A14 are likely to be disrupted during the abnormal load movements.
The convoys will be moved from the A12 border with Essex before traveling along the A14, A12, B1122, Lover's Lane and local roads to the site.
Suffolk Police will escort the abnormal loads from a layby near Wickham Market.
