A GROUP of talented students from a Colchester theatrical group enjoyed a magical day performing to visitors at a beloved amusement park.

A total of 35 students from Stagecoach Performing Arts in Colchester performed in the illustrious “Dance The Dream” event to thousands of guests lining the iconic Main Street at the world-famous Disneyland Park in Paris. 

The Colchester group was one of 28 Stagecoach Performing Arts schools attended the event.

After tremendous efforts during rehearsals, the hard work culminated in a fantastic display of talent for audiences from around the world. 

The “Dance the Dream” event provides the students with a chance to come together and showcase their talents overseas. 

According to the organisers, the annual event is growing every year, with the upcoming edition promised to be even grander.

Stagecoach Colchester Principal Caroline Maxwell said: “The students were super excited and couldn’t wait to perform.

“I am incredibly proud of them all and the hard work they put into their rehearsals and the performance.

“This is the sixth time we have been to perform at Disneyland Paris and each time it gets better and better.”

The school, currently commemorating its 35-year anniversary, functions with a network of more than 55,000 students and over 3,000 additional Performing Arts Schools worldwide.

The overarching aim of Stagecoach is to transform the lives of its students by imparting "Creative Courage for Life" skills.

According to the school, a lot of students have embarked into the world of performing arts, including in Hollywood blockbusters to numerous roles in nearby theatre productions.

They offer Early Stages classes for children aged four to six, and Main Stages classes held every weekend during term time for six to 18-year-olds.
