A TRAIN passenger must pay back £478.40 for failing to pay a train fare on a day out in London.
Joseph Sail tried to avoid paying for a £20.40 train ticket at Woolwich Arsenal in May.
At Bexley Magistrates’ Court last month officials ordered Sail, 30, to pay back the £20.40 and a fine of £220.
Sail, of Hythe Hill, was not present at the proceedings and was ordered to pay further costs of £243.
The full payment of £478.40 must be paid by Wednesday, magistrates said.
