A COLCHESTER pub has postponed its reopening after a weeklong closure.

The Rovers Tye, in Ipswich Road, was set to reopen its doors today (August 8) after the premises suffered a gas leak last Thursday.

However, the pub bosses took to Facebook at 8pm on August 7 to confirm that plans had changed.

They said: “Despite our previous plans, unfortunately we are unable to open Thursday as planned.”

Further maintenance work is needed before the pub can safely open to the public.
