COLCHESTER'S Olympic medalist Lewis Richardson says he is excited for the next chapter after his Paris success.
The light middleweight boxer returned from the Games with a bronze medal, following a superb performance for Great Britain.
In a message posted on social media, Richardson said: "It's difficult to put into the words just how special the Olympic experience has been for me.
"Photos will follow, but for now there are just too many iconic pictures to choose from.
"One thing I can say though is that I have truly been living out my dreams during this Olympic period.
"Every day has brought new opportunities, experiences and excitement.
"The memories made, moments shared, emotions felt, people met and achievements attained, will last a lifetime.

"I would like to thank everyone - the list is endless - who has played a part throughout the years in making this all possible.
"No matter how big or small your involvement has been, I am extremely grateful.
"I hope it brings you all fulfilment to know you have been a positive part of my journey.
"The support within Paris, and at home in Great Britain during these Olympics has been overwhelming, thank you!
"It has been an honour to represent my country at the Olympic Games, and I extremely proud to be bringing home a medal later today.
"I am excited for the next chapter of the story, I hope you all are too!"
