THREE roads are due to close in an Essex town in the coming weeks.

Drivers should be aware as a trio of closures is coming to Coggeshall.

Two are coming on August 27.

Tilkey Road will shut from a point approximately 245m north west of the junction with Westfield Drive for a distance of approximately 25m in a north westerly direction.

The closure is scheduled for two days while new connection works are undertaken by Cadent.

On the same day, St Peter’s Road will close from its junction with East Street for a distance of approximately 60m in a northerly direction.

The closure is scheduled for just one day.

It is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.

Following this, one day later on August 28, Colne Road in Coggeshall is shutting for two nights from 8pm to 5am.

The closure is required while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Various closures are coming to mid Essex.

In Witham, a week-long closure is coming while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

On August 27, Chalks Road will shut a point approximately 55m west of its junction with Braintree Road for a distance of approximately 25m in a westerly direction.

The closure is scheduled for seven days.

In Braintree, a short closure is coming to St Michaels Lane.

It will close from its junction with High Street for a distance of approximately 40m in a south easterly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on September 10 for just one day.

It is required for the safety of the public and workforce while meter exchange works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

Anglian Water works will also see a road in Cressing close.

Bulford Mill Lane is closing on September 9 from its junction with Mill Lane for a distance of approximately 310m in a westerly direction (to the level crossing).

The closure is scheduled for five days while pipe clearance works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

In Hatfield Peverel, Bennett Way will shut from a point approximately 50m north east of the junction with Mortimer Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a south easterly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on September 9 for just one day while pole installation works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

In Halstead, four closures are set to hit the town in the coming weeks.

Firstly, on August 30, Oak Road will close from a point approximately 420m north west of its junction with Letches Lane for a distance of approximately 15m in a north westerly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on August 30 for one day while meter exchange works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

Two closures are coming on September 9.

Tidings Hill will close from its junction with Rayner Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a north easterly direction.

The closure is due to last for three days while stop tap replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

On the same day, Trinity Road will close from its junction with Mount Hill to its junction with Mount Pleasant a distance of approximately 320m.

The closure is scheduled for eight days.

It is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Lastly, Mount Hill is set to close from a point approximately 15m north east of the junction with Ramsey Road for a distance of approximately 215m in a north easterly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence from 9pm on September 14 until 6pm on September 15 while resurfacing works are undertaken by MDS.
