A COLCHESTER children’s wellbeing group has had a boost with a foundation grant from ASDA Colchester which is helping them deliver free outdoor arts.
Emotionally Well Communities, a non-profit group in Colchester aimed at improving children’s well-being, received an £800 ASDA Foundation grant.
The money will help the group deliver Action Art Play, an activity that combines art and sport, with sessions to be hosted in the ‘Together We Grow’ community garden in Highwoods Country Park.
The sessions are to take place this November and will be run by Dale Connelly, who also founded Emotionally Well Communities which was officially launched this April.
Dale said: "We're excited to invite families from the local community surrounding ASDA Colchester to get physically creative in the great outdoors to improve their health and well-being.
"We're grateful to Elaine, ASDA Colchester Community Champion and the ASDA Foundations team for listening to the needs we want to address in the community through Action Art Play and for making it possible."
Art created during Action Art Play will be exhibited in the ASDA Colchester this November.
Sessions are free and need to be pre-booked with free tickets being available now at actionartplay.eventbrite.com
