Here is a rundown of upcoming roadworks across Colchester and north Essex.
Chapel Street, Rowhedge will temporarily close form its junction with Marsh Crescent to its junction with Head Street from September 23 for 12 days, while gas main replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.
Crow Lane, Tendring, will close for 80m from a point 110m north of its junction with Hillhouse Lane for five days from September 30, while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
The Street, Weeley, will close from its junction with Station Approach North for 40m in an easterly direction for five days from September 23, while CCTV, jetting and drainage works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
Bounstead Hill, Layer-de-la-Haye, will close from its junction with Abberton Road for 240m in a north easterly direction, from September 11 for three days while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
Boxted Church Road, Great Horkesley will close from its junction with Holly Lake for 20m in a north easterly direction for three days from September 9, while new water connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
Cannon Street, Colchester will close for 20m south of its junction with Barrack Street for three days from September 9, while new water connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
Catherine Hunt Way, Colchester will close for 30m for three days from September 9, while new water connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
Halstead Road, Eight Ash Green, will temporarily close for two nights from 9pm to 5am from September 11, while resurfacing works are undertaken by Knight Group. Alternative routes are available.
Laburnum Grove, Colchester, will close from its junction with Sycamore Road to its other junction with Sycamore Road for five days from September 12 while footway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
Lambers Lane, Chappel, will temporarily close for 50m from September 16 for five days, while new underground service works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
Mountbatten Drive, Colchester, will temporarily close from its junction with Abbots Road to its other junction with Abbots Road from September 10 for three days, while footway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
Serpentine Walk, Margaret Road, and Mercers Way will be temporarily closed in stages across a 54-day period from September 9 while gas main replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.
Weston Road, Colchester, will be closed from its junction with Beche Road to its junction with Gilberd Road for five days from September 12, while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
Alderford Street, Sible Hedingham will be close from its junction with Alderford Farm Road for 135m for 68 days from September 23, while bridge repair works are undertaken by ECS Ltd.
Church Road, Greenstead Green, will close for 645m from its junction with Ravens Hall Road for three days from September 11, while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
Curds Road, Earls Colne, will close form its junction with Coggeshall Road to its junction with Newhouse Road for seven days from September 4, while drainage works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
Tidings Hill, Halstead, will close for 50m from its junction with Rayner Road for three days from September 9, while stop tap replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
Tilbury Road, Great Yeldham will temporarily close for three days from September 9 while culvert maintenance works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
Trinity Road, Halstead will close from its junction with Mount Hill to its junction with Mount Pleasant for eight days from September 9, while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
Farmleigh Avenue, Clacton, will close from its junction with St Clair Close to its junction with Thorpe Road for three days from September 9 while footway repair works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
Fourth Avenue, Frinton, will close form its junction with Ashlyns Road to its junction with The Esplanade from September 11 for nine days, while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
Kelvedon Road, Great Totham, will close from September 10 for eight days while foul and surface water connection works are undertaken by MAB Building Solutions Limited.
Woodrolfe Road, Tollesbury, will close from September 11 for eight days while new connection works are undertaken by Essex and Suffolk Water.
Mowden Hall Lane, Hatfield Peverel, will close from its junction with Crabbs Hill to its junction with Bumfords Lane for five days from September 26 while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
Bulford Mill Lane, Cressing, will close from its junction with Mill Lane to the level crossing for five days from September 9, while pipe clearance works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
