WITH the government’s announcement that Ofsted grades will change, we looked back at every current rating for Colchester's schools.
The government announced last night that single headline Ofsted grades will be scrapped, with immediate effect.
The Department for Education has made the decision with hopes to “boost school standards and increase transparency for parents.”
For inspections this academic year, parents will see four grades across the existing sub-categories: quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development and leadership & management.
Ofsted typically inspects good schools every four years or at any time if the establishment has any concerns.
Inspectors usually give schools one working day’s notice before an inspection, but they can also inspect schools without notice.
Below is every school’s Ofsted rating in Colchester, with just one Inadequate, one Requires Improvement, 46 Good schools and ten rated Outstanding.
