STAFF and volunteers at the Colchester PDSA (People's Dispensary For Sick Animals) shop are urgently appealing for donations.
The shop is asking animal lovers to donate any unwanted items to help raise funds for veterinary care.
Items required include men's and women's clothing, handbags, shoes, and accessories.
Donations can be dropped off at the shop from Monday to Saturday, between 9am and 5pm.
A spokesman for the PDSA shop said: "Is your wardrobe bulging with unworn clothes or your shelves full of books you never read?
"Why not have a clear-out this weekend and donate your unwanted items to PDSA?
"As well as de-cluttering your home, you’ll be helping raise money for vulnerable pets whose owners have nowhere else to turn.
"We’re appealing for all types of items, especially ladies' bags, clothes, books, and toys, which are popular with our customers.
"We also need home furnishings such as bric, kitchenware, as well as good quality men’s, ladies' and children’s clothes.
"The pandemic had a massive impact on our fundraising activities, which is why support for, and donations to, our PDSA shops are so important.
