Determined to make the most of the time she has left, she has launched a GoFundMe campaign to fulfil her bucket list, including a dream trip to Cornwall, and to cover funeral costs in the worst-case scenario.

Beverly's battle with cancer began when she was just 40 and pregnant with her third child.

After a decade in remission, the disease has returned - this time terminal.

"I felt a lump, and because I had it before, I went to the doctors right away," said Beverly.

"It took eight weeks to get the scan and this time it's terminal. Yet here I am, still smiling, still dancing."

Beverly's diagnosis has been tough on her entire family, especially 91-year-old mother Sylvia.

However, with the support of her loved ones and the community, she remains determined to keep fighting with a broad smile.

Before cancer altered her life, Beverly worked as a carer and later as a cleaner. She is currently on long-term sick leave from her job at Savers.

Everyday tasks, such as eating, have become difficult, but her spirit remains unbroken.

Beverly said: "I’ve been on Complan and bananas for a week.

"Eating is psychological when you can't taste anything. But I feel better now, and I have a breakfast planned before my Monday chemo round - I'll enjoy it with friends."

One of Beverly’s biggest wishes is to visit Cornwall with her family and friends, a trip she has always dreamed of.

If her health allows, she also hopes to visit Ibiza, eager to live life to the fullest despite her diagnosis.

She now spends her days with her extensive CD collection in her living room, with photos of family around her and her pet dog to keep her company.

Beverly said : "My niece Sophie set up the GoFundMe.

"I never had very big dreams, but I really want to go on this trip.

"I've also been getting cards from friends far and near - it’s wonderful support that eases the pain."

The community has rallied around Beverly, with donations pouring in to help her achieve her dreams.

Her GoFundMe is already offering her both financial relief and emotional support, but there is still a long way to go.

Some of her family and friends are doing a walk to raise awareness of the importance of checking your breasts.

Some of the money raised will go to Beverly’s chosen charities - St Helena Hospice and Macmillan.

She praised the breast clinic at Colchester Hospital which has been "beyond excellent", and a kind volunteer who brought her a homemade chocolate cake before her first chemo session.

“The worst thing is, there is no cure," said Beverly. "I need treatment for as long as I’m around, but I’m hopeful.”
