THE police are searching for a man who indecently exposed himself near a footpath next to the River Colne.
Essex Police is investigating a report of a man committing an act of public indecent exposure at 3.30pm on September 7.
The incident occurred near a footpath on the riverbank of the River Colne between Rowhedge and The Hythe.
According to Essex Police the only description given of the man was that he was wearing a “flat cap” at the time of the incident.
The force is now appealing for anyone with information to step forward to help the investigation.
An Essex Police spokesman said: “We are appealing for information after a report of a man committing an act of indecent exposure in public in Colchester.
“Any witnesses, or anyone with information which could assist our enquiries, should contact us as soon as possible.
