A CELEBRATED explorer was set to return to Colchester for a new show for the first time in five years... but it has now been cancelled.
Sir Ranulph Fiennes OBE, was due to bring his ‘Mad, Bad and Dangerous’ show to Charter Hall, in Cowdray Avenue, on October 3.
Famous for being the first person to cross the Arctic and Antarctica on foot, it was planned for Sir Ranulph to share stories from his adventures during the show.
A statement from the promoter of the show has stated "unforeseen circumstances beyond our control" as reason for the cancellation.
It also said that all ticket holders will be refunded within the next 30 days.
