MORECAMBE boss Derek Adams has been given a one-match touchline ban and fined £500 by the Football Association following his red card against Colchester United.
Adams has been hit with the punishment following misconduct in his side's 3-3 draw in League Two with the U's, on September 14.
He admitted that he acted in an improper manner and/or confrontational manner towards the match officials in or around the 21st and 24th minutes, which led to him being sent to the stands.
Adams. who was booked twice in quick succession by referee Geoff Eltringham of County Durham, accepted the standard penalty.

Adams was sent off in an eventful contest which also saw Morecambe defender Luke Hendrie dismissed in the first half of the game at the Mazuma Stadium.
Strikes from Owura Edwards, Samson Tovide and Lyle Taylor had put the U's on course for victory, after Ben Tollitt had given the Shrimps a first-half lead.
But late goals from Callum Jones and substitute Marcus Dackers rescued an unlikely point for Morecambe, who played the whole second half with ten men.
