POLICE have closed one of Colchester’s main roads to respond to a suspected emergency.
The southbound side of Balkerne Hill, which heads into Colchester city centre, was closed by Essex Police on Monday evening.
Two officers were witnessed on the scene at about 8.20pm and had set out cones to redirect traffic.
Essex Police has been contacted by the Gazette to clarify the nature of the incident.
