A HUNGRY city resident was still treated to a delicious pizza thanks to police despite the delivery driver getting caught without insurance.
On Tuesday evening, Colchester's community policing team stopped a vehicle which was shown as having no insurance.
Upon speaking to the driver, they discovered they were working as a delivery driver and were on a food delivery.
While one of the officers waited for the recovery truck to collect the seized uninsured car, the other officer delivered the order while it was still hot so the person still got their pizza.
