A third ParkPlay area has been launched in Colchester.
The new site, which opened at Kings Meadow in Lower Castle Park earlier this month, joins the existing ParkPlay areas in Greenstead and Old Heath.
Emily Swaep and Rob Clark from Urban Xtreme, who will be hosting the new ParkPlay at Kings Meadow, said: "We are really excited to host the third ParkPlay in Colchester and look forward to the local community joining in for some fun games that are suitable for everyone."
ParkPlay aims to bring residents together in parks and green spaces for two hours of free, informal games and activities every Saturday morning.
This initiative is part of a broader mission to build stronger, healthier, and more connected communities through the power of play.
Morvern, a resident who attended the first session at Kings Meadow with her children, said: "We have been to the ParkPlay at Old Heath many times before and really enjoyed it.
"I brought my children here today as this location is even closer to where we live."
The ParkPlay initiative, launched in spring 2021, has established 81 ParkPlays across the UK.
The initiative has been funded by Colchester City Council and Active Essex.
