Police officers seized alcohol while carrying out foot patrols in Colchester.
The city centre has a public space protection order which gives the council and police separate powers to deal with antisocial behaviour in specified areas.
Yesterday, members of the city centre policing team were on foot patrol when they came across an incident of antisocial behaviour.
Officers were able to seize and destroy alcohol using powers under the protection order.
The incident has been reported to Colchester Council, which can issue a fine.
