PORT Vale boss Darren Moore bemoaned the 'soft' late goal his side conceded after they drew 1-1 with Colchester United.

Vale looked like they would be heading for victory at Vale Park, after substitute Jesse Debrah's second-half header had put them in charge.

However, Samson Tovide struck an equaliser in the 90th minute to secure a point for the U's and leave Moore and his Vale side frustrated.

Moore told PVTV: "I can understand the supporters probably being a little bit frustrated with it.

"I'm frustrated with it as well, because it was obviously a game where we were dominant with the ball, from start to finish.

"it looked as though when we made some changes that we got the advantage at the end and for us to concede that goal at the end - it's a soft goal from our point of view, really and avoidable.

"That's what probably makes it a little bit more frustrating.

"Usually we see situations like that out but whether it be a little bit of lapse of concentration, has led to their equaliser so it feels disappointing, because we've conceded so late."

Vale goalscorer Debrah told PVTV: "We think we should see those sort of games out.

"It was a very frustrating evening.

"Fair play to them; there was a lot of gamesmanship which was frustrating us and frustrating the crowd.

"We got the goal and obviously we're trying to get two, three but it didn't come.

"Then in the last 15 minutes, you could say they got on top of us and fair play to them, by making attacking changes.

"But we need to do better as players in order to manage those situations and manage that game and make sure we walk away with the three points."
