A RISING singer-songwriter is set to headline a Colchester venue as part of her autumn UK tour.
Musician Freya Beer will headline Three Wise Monkeys, in High Street, on November 10.
The show is in support of her brilliant single, False Hope, a track that blends together elements of pop and blistering garage-styled, grunge-rock.
It was recorded in Colchester with renowned producer Tom Donovan, who is also in the hip-hop collective, Monster Florence, and follows on from her latest EP, Tatianna.
Speaking about the theme of False Hope, Freya said: “False Hope is about coming across individuals who promise the world to you but fail to present.
“It’s a song about picking yourself up after you come across ‘flaky’ characters.”
Since self-releasing a couple of singles in 2018, Freya has gone onto be featured by BBC Radio 6 Music, she launched her own record label Sisterhood Records in 2019, and has been supported by many publications.
From West London, Freya is inspired by art, literature, alternative fashion and music, and has a gothic-sense of style.
Tickets cost £10 plus a booking fee.
Doors for the Colchester gig will open at 7.30pm and it is an 18+ only event.
