A COLCHESTER teenager has been given a youth detention order for dealing class A drugs.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named because of his age, appeared before Chelmsford Magistrates' Court last month to admit being concerned in the supply of heroin and being concerned in the supply of cocaine.
The drug dealing took place between April and August of this year.
He also admitted possessing tear gas and resisting a police officer.
He was told by magistrates the only appropriate sentence for the offences was a youth detention order, which will last two years.
Magistrates also ordered the youth to pay £41.
