A CHARITY shop is holding a special event aimed at university students in Colchester.
St Helena Hospice's Magdalen Street furniture store is holding a special event as the academic year kicks off.
It will offer a wide selection of budget-friendly essentials for students moving into campus accommodation this Saturday (October 5) from 9am to 5pm.
The sale will feature bedding, kitchenware, electronics and furniture, as well as clothes at bargain prices.
Shop manager Dan Reade said: “We see many students popping into the shop regularly for useful items like pots and pans, books, curtains and more.
"As new students move into halls and flats this time of year, we’re ready with all sorts of furniture and essentials to help them settle in.”
Students also get a 10 per cent discount all year round.
