A TV star who found fame after appearing on the X-Factor has revealed his favourite place to grab something to eat in Colchester.
Jake Quickenden, who will be playing Buddy the Elf in Charter Hall's Christmas play, has revealed where he and his family eat the most in Colchester.
Jake said: "I'm a very old man now and I don't go out that much - I go and get takeaways.
"However, when I do go out, I love North Hill Noodle Bar - it is absolutely lovely and I love that place.
"We go there quite a bit - that noodle bar is banging."
He also revealed what he thinks of the Colchester crowds after he starred in a musical at a popular city theatre.
He said: "I performed at the Mercury Theatre when I did the Friends Musical.
"So I did a few shows there and it is a lovely - lovely theatre and the crowds are nice.
"The people in Colchester are lovely, do you know what I mean?
"I think it is going to be a really fun Christmas show to do and this place is going to look totally transformed by the time it gets here.
"As long as I know my lines we will be all right and have a great time."
