A Colchester homecare provider has raised more than £1,000 for charity.
Right at Home Colchester & District raised £1,010 for St Helena Hospice, which supports people facing incurable illness and bereavement.
The money was raised through Right at Home's second annual charity quiz night, which took place at Colchester Rugby Club last month.
Colchester businesses donated raffle prizes for the event.
Peter Flannery, owner of the homecare business, said: "I am extremely proud of our fundraising efforts on behalf of St Helena.
"The team were outstanding in their efforts to create interest in the quiz night and gather raffle prizes for the event, and we were incredibly lucky to be gifted an events room at Colchester Rugby Club.
"Last year we managed to raise an incredible £600 and this year we went bigger and better."
St Helena Hospice relies on charitable donations for the majority of its income, with just 27 per cent of its income coming from the NHS.
Rebecca Corser, community fundraiser for Colchester at St Helena, said: "It was so lovely to celebrate Right at Home’s incredible fundraiser last month.
"We simply cannot thank them enough for all their support and for their friends, family and colleagues for donating so generously and taking part in the wonderful quiz night."
