A BMW smashed into a brick wall and a parked car after veering off the road in a dramatic crash on a residential street.

Shocked residents heard a loud bang on Saturday night after the car ploughed through the wall and hit a car on the driveway at roughly 7pm on Hart Road, Thundersley.

Essex Police has confirmed an investigation is underway and is appealing for witnesses to come forward despite no arrest being made so far.

It was reported the house wall was also damaged, although it is understood this was minor after the car destroyed the brick wall.

“This is terrible,” he said.

“As a former member of the local speed watch, we would often monitor this area.

“It’s a high traffic zone with schools nearby. I truly hope everyone involved is okay.”

Mr Dickson added: “It can be quite a thoroughfare for people speeding through and the fact that it’s surrounded by schools makes it even more risky.”

Residents reported seeing emergency services at the property on Saturday night.
No-one was injured in the crash.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: “We were called at around 7pm on Saturday October 5 to reports of a collision in Thundersley.

“Officers and colleagues in the fire service attended the collision at Hart Road.

“A grey BMW left the carriageway and collided with a property, damaging a garden wall, fence, house wall and parked car.

“No reports of any injuries and no arrests made.

“We continue to investigate.”

Anyone with information has been urged to call Essex Police on 101 as soon as possible.
