A POPULAR event which helps inspire the next generation of urban musical artists is hosting two well-known and successful rappers next month.

The third Art of the Roadz event will take place at The Minories, in High Street, on November 24.

The Art of the Roadz series is a collaboration between Colchester musician, DJ, and podcaster Owen Louis who is also known as Project Lando, Sir Gassed of Gassed Clothing Co, and The Minories.

Its aim is to encourage young people with talent and develop their skills, while those in the industry provide inspiration.

After Art of the Roadz kicked-off in April, it has continued to become more popular, its second event, Art of the Roads Part Two took place in August and featured famous rapper Big Narstie.

Big Narstie even spoke to The Gazette after the event.

Now, Art of The Roadz Part Three will feature special appearances from rappers Devlin and M Dot R, two well-regarded artists.

Hip-Hop and grime artist Devlin hails from Dagenham, London, and was signed to Island Records between 2010 to 2015.

His 2010 debut record Bud, Sweat, and Tears ranked at 21 in the UK album charts at the time.

Moses McGeorge is known as a rapper called M Dot R who has achieved viral fame over the last year.

He was born in The Isle of Sheppey but is known for his use of Jamaican Patois and makes rap and reggae songs.
