A FRESHERS Fair was a hit as a multitude of societies came down to help new Essex University students adjust to life on campus.

The new influx of students were greeted with masses of stalls to get students involved with societies and a warm welcome to their university life.

The event marks the start of the year and gives students a chance to not only join societies but also a chance to make new friends and get to know the campus a bit better.

This is the chance for societies to show what they have to offer and what they can give to students, should they wish to join.

Amongst the stalls, the Freshers Fair also featured interactive games, performances, and giveaways.

There was also a chance to meet with local businesses, and vendors, from around the campus and Colchester.

The day included showcases of sports such as pickleball and basketball and chances to speak with international societies from countries such as Malaysia and India.
