A DRIVER who was accused of breaking the speed limit has been sentenced more than three years after committing the offence.
Christopher Harvey, 34, was driving in a 30mph zone in Brighton in May 2021 when he was accused of driving at 43mph.
He denied the offence and the charge was later dismissed by magistrates.
Harvey, of Hillie Bunnies, Earls Colne, also denied a second charge of failing to give information to police confirming he was the driver of the vehicle at the time.
He was convicted of that charge by magistrates in Brighton last week and has now been fined £677 with costs of £268.
His driving licence was endorsed with six points.
