Here are seven pubs in Colchester for a quiz night

A fun group activity for friends or family to all do together whilst having a drink or two and a chance to test your knowledge up against others.

We've put together seven options for pubs and bars which offer frequent quiz nights:

Three Wise Monkeys

The next two pub quizzes they host are a Horror Films Quiz on Sunday October 27 and a Film, TV and Music Quiz on Monday November 11.

Their quizzes are usually a maximum of six people and at a cost of £3 per person.

This Colchester pub hosts a pub quiz on the first Thursday of every month.

To enter the quiz, it costs £2 per person and its a maximum of six people per team.

The quiz starts at 7.30pm and there are prizes on offer.

The Kings Arms

The Kings Arms (Image: Credited) This Greene King pub hosts a quiz night every Tuesday from 7pm.

The quiz is free to play and participants can win a £20 gift voucher if they win.

Guests should make sure to bring along their smart phone, as this quiz is operated through the phone.

Walkabout

Walkabout (Image: Credited) Walkabout hosts weekly free to enter pub quizzes with an array of prizes for those who win.

Guests will be in for the chance of winning anything from a £20 bar tab, to a national cash prize pot of up to £1,500 each night.

The quiz takes place every Sunday, starting at 7.30pm.

Those who take part need to bring along their smart phones as this quiz is done through an app.

Slug and Lettuce

Their Fizz and Quiz Night boasts themed quizzes along with offers on prosecco and the chance to win some top prizes.

The pub regularly hosts Big Jim's Pub Quiz, with the event starting at 8pm.

It costs £2 per person to enter with teams of six maximum.
