TRAFFIC has been stopped on a section of the M25 due to an incident and police officers are on the scene.
Traffic control has reported that traffic has come to a standstill on the M25 clockwise between Junction 23 A1 and Junction 24 Potters Bar.
This is because of reports of a pedestrian walking in the road.
The BCH road policing unit is at the incident.
Motorists using this part of the M25 should expect lengthy delays.
Traffic control has now confirmed both directions of the M25 betwen Junction 22 St Albans and Junction 23 A1 are now affected. Traffic has stopped in both directions.
Update
All traffic has now been released and "the pedestrian has been secured".
Congestion should start to clear up now.
