Firefighters rescued a woman who was trapped in her car after a crash in a busy Colchester road this afternoon.
A crash between two vehicles happened in Gosbecks Road at around 3pm today which caused the road to be closed both ways.
Traffic queued between Shrub End Road and Paxman Avenue.
An Essex County Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Firefighters were called to a road traffic collision on Gosbecks Road, Colchester at 3:14pm.
“On arrival, crews reported two vehicles had collided and a woman was trapped in her vehicle.
"Crews worked to rescue the woman and she was left in the care of the Ambulance Service.”
