COMEDIAN Dom Joly is bringing his new show to Colchester this week.
Joly, best known for his award-winning series Trigger Happy TV, will bring his show Dom Joly – The Conspiracy Tour, to Colchester’s Mercury Theatre on Friday, October 18.
This new tour, based on his 2023 book The Conspiracy Tourist – Travels Through A Strange World, takes a humorous and thought-provoking dive into the bizarre world of conspiracy theories.
Joly has travelled the globe investigating some of the wildest conspiracy theories out there, and now he’s ready to share his findings on stage.
Audiences can expect a blend of comedy, satire, and the exploration of the strange ideas that have taken root in today's culture.
In a twist, Joly will be joined on stage by notorious conspiracy theorist Dr. Julian Northcote, who will present the alternative view.
Together, they will tackle questions such as: "Is the earth flat?", "Does Finland really exist?", and "Are UFOs piloted by lizards?"
With his unique brand of humour and insight, Joly promises an evening that will entertain sceptics and believers alike.
However, in true Dom Joly style, the show comes with a tongue-in-cheek warning about potential demonstrations due to the "controversial" ideas that will be discussed.
Tickets for Dom Joly – The Conspiracy Tour are available through Joly’s website or directly from the Mercury Theatre.
