AT any one time Danaher animal rescue can have dozens of animals waiting for someone to give them a new home.
Situated in the sleepy village of Wethersfield the RSPCA centre looks after everything from dogs, cats and rabbits to chinchillas and Cockatiels.
And the centre is getting wider appeal after a series of celebrities paid visits to help promote the work they do.
Pete Wicks, notably recognised for his role in The Only Way Is Essex, even helped the centre with a campaign.
Now TV and Tik Tok star, Lisa Baggs has spent the morning at the rescue accompanied by her son’s girlfriend Lauren.
The Baggs family, from Dunmow, first starred on TV’s Gogglebox in 2020 and spent two years on the show.
After their time on the screens, brothers, Joe and George Baggs accumulated a large following on social media and now have more than 2million Tik Tok followers between them.
The brothers post a number of videos with their mum, Lisa, with app users calling her the ‘mum of Tik Tok’ and more than 369K people following her own account.
Last week, Lisa and, George’s girlfriend Lauren, visited Wethersfield’s Danaher Animal Home – describing the visit online as ‘cuteness overload’.
Under an Instagram reel she posted, Lisa said: “We had the most amazing morning seeing all the cats, dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs at Danaher rescue home!”
“They are all looking for their forever homes and it broke my heart saying good bye to them all.
“I’ll definitely be back!”
Danaher is partnered with RSPCA and works hard to care for unwanted pets, aiming to rehome all dogs, cats and other animals in their facilities.
Lisa’s visit comes four months after the sad loss of the Baggs family French bulldog, Dolly.
Ryan Lynch, Danaher's Social Media and Community Engagement officer, said: "It was a true pleasure to welcome Lisa Baggs and Lauren to Danaher Animal Home.
"As part of my role I make contact with many local celebs and influencers to see if they’d like a visit.
"I made contact with Lisa’s management and asked if she’d like to come along and visit.
"Recently, Lisa Baggs lost her family pet, a Frenchie who was such a big part of her life so I knew animals were so important to her and the family.
"We had a lovely morning of touring Danaher and telling them all about the hard work our staff and volunteers do.
"They met some of our residents and were thrilled to be able to see some Frenchie’s too!
"During their visit, we had the opportunity to share our core mission: Rescue, Rehabilitate, Rehome, and Educate, while also giving them a tour to meet some of our wonderful residents.
"We are incredibly grateful for the social media content Lisa and Lauren shared about Danaher, and we hope their support will help raise awareness of the impactful work we do and encourage more people to engage with our cause."
